On Wed. Sept. 2, we will be holding our monthly book discussion group. We will be discussing the book, "Lies My Teacher Told Me", by James Loewen. This is a history book by a college professor, who believes that many leading high school history books do not do a decent job of making history interesting. Our group meets from 6:30-8pm at our book store, The Book Vault.   All are welcome.

The Book Vault will be closed on Saturday July 4. We will be open on Wednesday, July 1 from 12-6pm. We will also be open on our regular days on Thursday and Friday, July 2 and 3, from 12-6 pm.

On Wednesday June 10 from 7-8:30 pm, we will hold an evening with Morpheus Ravenna-reading, questions, and book signing for "The Book of the Great Queen". The book is about the history, power, and magic of the Morrigan. It is "an in-depth study of the Morrigan and her cults of worship, ancient and modern". promo flyer This event is free, and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. We now have 5 of Kurt Vonnegut's books for sale. They range in price from $3.95 to $9.95. Vonnegut's books usually sell quickly, so if you're interested you can call us at 607-427-2368 to reserve one of them.

The Book Vault will be holding an organizational meeting for the Green Party in Broome-Tioga Counties, on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6pm. The Book Vault presents the local author, Mary Pat Hyland, discussing & signing her latest work, "In the Shadows of the Onion Domes, on Sat. Dec. 13, at 2 pm. She will have copies of her book for sale. Light refreshments will be served.

Come and meet Howie, and hear his platform, and if you want to: donate some money & get involved with the campaign. He needs our help! We now have audio books, and 1 DVD so far, "Game of Thrones", for sale in our book store. The audio books are mostly mysteries and thrillers by big names such as: Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, John Grisham, J.D. Robb, and Patricia Cornwell. There are also audio novels by Ken Follett, and non-fiction history by David McCullough. Prices range from $3.95 and up. Come and check them out.
